About the project
We usually remember Kubrick for his cold, flawless symmetry. But what pulled me in was the sheer exhaustion behind it. Making this publication was about stepping into that tension: the clash between a man desperate for total control and the uncontrollable chaos of a film set. The layouts borrow from his working scripts, dense with crossed-out lines and frantic notes, while rough mezzotint grain replaces clean digital stills. It is not a detached breakdown, but a tactile reminder that perfection is always messy, obsessive, and deeply human.
